Project Overview

Born entirely from scratch, Pause and Play is a research-led master's thesis engineered to transform domestic screen-time friction into cooperative family connection. As the solo creative strategist, I leveraged the full power of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects to drive the project from deep behavioral mapping into a premium, high-fidelity physical product. By utilizing a strategic three-phase gameplay loop, the resulting system successfully disarmed household conflict and earned immense praise from industry review boards for its elite visual execution.

Visual Impact & Takeaways

Ultimately, Pause and Play stands as a proof of concept that premium visual craftsmanship can radically shift user behavior. By designing a tangible, aesthetic medium, the project demonstrates how strategic design can transform systemic digital tension into deliberate, human-centric connection

Project Overview

The toolkit was developed through iterative, real-world co-design sessions and rapid paper prototyping directly within active households. Framing digital habits through a gamified, neutral medium completely disarmed defensive barriers, allowing both children and parents to address tech friction without domestic conflict
